1. Open your phrase library
Install Quick Copy Phrases from the Chrome Web Store ↗. In desktop Chrome, open the extensions menu and select Quick Copy Phrases. Pin it if you want a permanent toolbar shortcut.
2. Save a phrase
- Click + New.
- Add a short, optional title such as “Friendly reply”.
- Enter your phrase. Multiple lines and meaningful spaces are preserved.
- Click Save phrase, or press ⌘ / Ctrl + Enter.
For example, save “Thanks for reaching out! I will get back to you shortly.” Give each variation a useful title so you can tell them apart.
3. Find, copy and paste
Search words from the title or the phrase itself. Press / when you are not typing in a field to focus search. Use the clear button or Escape to clear your search.
Click Copy on the phrase you want. Then paste into the destination with your usual paste command. Quick Copy does not automatically insert snippets, read your clipboard history or monitor typing on other websites.
4. Keep the library useful
Use Edit to update a phrase. When search is clear, use the up and down arrows to change its order. Show more expands long text. Large libraries also have a separate Show more button to reveal additional cards; search still includes every saved phrase.
After a deletion, Undo restores the last deleted phrase while the popup is open, until the next successful saved change. For a durable copy of the whole library, export a JSON backup.
If a phrase will not copy
Keep the popup open and try the Copy button again. If Chrome reports that copying failed, the phrase remains saved. Contact @blocktom on X ↗ with your version and the error message; do not send private phrase contents.
